A train collided with a car parked near the tracks in Hanoi on Wednesday, causing extensive damage to the front end of the vehicle.
The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon in Alley 104 on Co Nhue Street in Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi.
According to eyewitnesses, a male driver had parked his red Hyundai near the train tracks to visit a local market.
Upon realizing the approaching train, he hurried back in an attempt to move the car but was unable to do so in time.
Consequently, the train struck the vehicle, causing significant damage to its front end.
Vietnam Railways Corporation said that the incident occurred in the Kim No-Phu Dien area as the car had been parked in violation of railway restrictions.
The train operator promptly halted the train and coordinated with Phu Dien Station to address the situation, allowing the train to resume its journey at 6:05 pm on the same day.
Police in Bac Tu Liem District identified the car driver as D.T.N., born in 1985, a resident of Bac Tu Liem District.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Following the collision, local traffic police arrived to manage the situation and divert traffic in the area.
