A man from Da Nang City in central Vietnam rode into a drainage ditch at the end of a local road while following Google Maps directions.

Police in Hoa Khanh Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District reported on Friday that they had rescued a motorcyclist who fell into a drainage ditch while following a navigation app.

The accident happened around 9:00 pm on Thursday when the rider, identified as N.T.T., was traveling through the Hoa Khanh industrial park on his motorcycle.

T. accidentally rode into the drainage ditch when he was at the end of Road No. 6.

Security forces from Hoa Hiep Nam Ward were patrolling nearby at the time, enabling a swift rescue.

T. explained to police that unfamiliar with the area, he relied on Google Maps for directions, which led to the unfortunate mishap.
