Ho Chi Minh City’s first metro line is set to begin commercial operations on December 22, and 17 feeder bus routes have been introduced to help residents conveniently access metro stations.

The feeder buses feature a distinctive green-and-yellow color scheme for easy identification, with LED-lit route numbers for enhanced visibility.

Importantly, all the buses are electric, in line with the city’s push for sustainable transportation.

The Public Transportation Management Center has tasked Phuong Trang Futabuslines Passenger Car Corporation, the operator of these feeder buses, with ensuring an adequate number of vehicles and coordinating with suppliers to finalize their design on schedule.

Ngo Hai Duong, head of the Road Transport Management Division at the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper that the new system will make it easier for residents to access the first metro line.

The feeder routes are designed to operate along the metro line, picking up passengers from nearby roads and delivering them to the closest station.
