-- The project management board 85 under the Ministry of Transport on Monday held a ground-breaking ceremony for the Dai Ngai 1 bridge project spanning Tra Vinh and Soc Trang Provinces in southern Vietnam and two approach roads to the bridge. The bridge, when in place in 2028, will be the second-largest cable-stayed bridge in Vietnam.
-- Police in Hoa Binh Province, located in northern Vietnam, are investigating a case in which the body of a man was found inside a car spotted in the Hoa Binh hydropower reservoir, officers said on Monday.
-- Twenty-one wild boars were found dead in the Pu Mat National Park in north-central Nghe An Province with the cause of their death remaining unknown, director of the national park Le Anh Tuan said on Monday.

-- Aeon Mall Vietnam Co. Ltd., an arm of Japanese retailer Aeon, on Monday started construction on its shopping mall in Thanh Hoa Province, north-central Vietnam. Upon completion, the mall will be the eighth Aeon Mall in Vietnam.
