-- Vietnamese Party General Secretary To Lam held phone talks with Secretary-General of the ruling People’s Action Party and Prime Minister of Singapore Lawrence Wong on Friday afternoon, during which the Vietnamese Party chief suggested the two countries further strengthen political trust through meetings and exchanges of all-level delegations.

-- The southern hydrometeorological agency forecasts that on Monday and Tuesday, the south and Ho Chi Minh City will experience worsening weather, with rain and heavy downpours in many areas due to a depression.
-- The Hanoi Food Safety Agency reported on Friday that two people died and 15 were hospitalized after attending a conference party in Long Bien District the day before. A group of attendees drank alcohol brought from outside the venue and continued partying at another restaurant after the event, while the event organizer held a valid business license, met food safety standards, and provided proof of the food’s origin.

-- FDI disbursement in Vietnam reached an estimated US$21.68 billion in January-November, a 7.1-percent increase from the same period last year, marking the third consecutive year the country has surpassed $20 billion, according to HSBC.
