-- Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his New Zealand counterpart Christopher Luxon held a joint press conference on the results of their talks in Hanoi on Wednesday afternoon, during which they announced the elevation of the bilateral ties to comprehensive strategic partnership, the highest level in the Southeast Asian nation’s international relations.

-- New Zealand PM Luxon underlined at a meeting with Vietnam’s Party General Secretary To Lam on Wednesday that he is willing to welcome more Vietnamese students, scientists, and researchers to his country for study and research.

-- Medical workers of Vietnamese level-2 field hospital No. 6 have presented multiple sets of gifts, including vitamins, hand sanitizer, face masks, gloves, personal protective equipment suits and stationery, to patients at Bentiu Hospital in South Sudan to mark the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctor’s Day.

-- Some VND3.3 trillion (US$130 million) will be needed for a road tunnel project through Hoang Lien Pass to connect Sa Pa, a resort town in Lao Cai Province, with Tam Duong District in Lai Chau Province, northern Vietnam, according to a recent feasibility study report sent to the Ministry of Transport.
