A dozen cows have been spotted roaming freely on a local street in the Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City urban area in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City over the past few days, posing a traffic hazard, especially during rush hours.
Residents have reported frequent instances of cattle wandering onto Mac Dinh Chi Street in the urban area.
The cows often graze on the grassy patches along the roadsides and, at times, stray unpredictably onto the street, forcing vehicles to maneuver around them.

On Wednesday, over 10 cows were seen meandering along the street, forcing several motorcycles to dodge the herd.
Many riders had to slow down significantly or veer off course, inching dangerously close to oncoming traffic to avoid the animals.
L.Y.V., 23, expressed frustration over the recurring issue, noting that the cows often roam freely near the dormitory of the university.
The cows run across or even lie down in the middle of the street, creating a serious hazard for commuters, V. said.
It is not only a traffic risk but also a sanitation concern, as some of them defecate right on the road.
“It is a major inconvenience," V. said.
“On several occasions, I've had to slow down and dodge the cows.”
