The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is soliciting votes to select the best goal of the 2018 AFC U23 Championship that wrapped up in China last week, with a goal by Vietnamese midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai taking the lead.
The AFC has put ten “sensational strikes” of the championship on its website for football lovers to vote for their favorite one. You can start the vote here.
Uzbekistan won the competition after beating Vietnam 2-1 in extra time on January 27.

Vietnam’s Quang Hai scored five times during the tournament, which is just one goal less than top scorer Almoez Ali of Qatar.
The 20-year-old Vietnamese midfielder now has two of his goals, one from the semifinal with Qatar and the other from the final clash with Uzbekistan, up for vote. The latter is leading the survey.
During the Qatar clash, Hai scored the precious 2-2 equalizer by curving the ball from outside the box, before Vietnam beat the Qataris 4-3 in the penalty shootout to advance to the final game.
In the final, Uzbekistan were taking the 1-0 lead when Quang Hai again equalized the match with a stunning free kick into the top-left.
Uzbekistan netted the killer goal in the last minute of extra time and clinched the championship in a snowy final.
The other shortlisted goals for the AFC vote are that of Uzbekistan’s Azizjon Ganiev against South Korea; Mohammed Jaffal of Iraq against Malaysia; Qatari Almoez Ali against China; Baha Faisal of Jordan against Saudi Arabia; South Korea’s Han Seung-gyu against Australia; Danial Amier of Malaysia against Saudi Arabia; Mohanad Fannoun of Palestine against Thailand; and Uzbek Jasurbek Yakhshiboev against South Korea.
The AFC does not say when the vote ends.
As of 3:00 pm on Tuesday, January 31, the vote results were as follows.
