6,000 to run for health, environment in marathon in southern Vietnam this November

Bepharco Ben Tre Marathon 2023, set to take place in Ben Tre Province, southern Vietnam on November 4 and 5 this year, is expected to woo 6,000 domestic and international participants.
The Ben Tre administration on Tuesday held a press conference to introduce the marathon with the message of 'running for health and the environment.'
The provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism will join hands with some units to organize the event under the direction of the Ben Tre People’s Committee.
Besides encouraging the spirit of doing exercise and developing a community of sport lovers, Bepharco Ben Tre Marathon 2023 also aims to introduce the culture and landscapes in Ben Tre to attract investment in green tourism development as well as preserve and upgrade the values of the province and the southwestern region as a whole.
The running route will help runners experience and enjoy a lively and dynamic Ben Tre.
The marathon organizer wants to spread the images of Ben Tre, which always strives to develop the economy while preserving its own cultural characteristics.
The first edition of the marathon was held in 2022, attracting over 4,000 professional and amateur athletes from 20 countries and territories.
