Up to 130 domestic and international paragliding pilots are competing in a tournament held in Sa Thay mountain, Kon Tum Province, located in Vietnam’s Central Highlands, from Friday to Sunday.
The ‘Discovering the Great Forest - Sa Thay 2024’ Kon Tum Paragliding Tournament commenced in Sa Thay District on Friday.
Amonth the 130 participating pilots, there are many representatives from China, South Korea, and Japan.
The event includes precision landing and cross country (XC) paragliding competitions, with the latter upgraded to an international tourney, offering participants the chance to earn points for future international events.

In addition to the main competitions, visitors can enjoy powered paragliding demonstrations, along with cultural and culinary activities.
The tournament runs until Sunday as part of the ongoing Kon Tum Tourism Culture Week 2024.
This also marks the third edition of the tournament on Sa Thay mountain.

Duong Quang Phuc, chairman of the People’s Committee of Sa Thay District, expressing the district’s aspiration to become a national paragliding destination through continuous hosting of such events.
The tournament aims to attract tourists, showcase local culture, and foster eco-tourism and nature exploration.
