Fields of white daisies have become new attractions in Hanoi with the beautiful blossoms in full swing as the temperature in the Vietnamese capital takes a downward turn at the beginning of winter.

Daisy gardens in Yen Phu Ward near the bank of the Hong (Red) River passing through Tay Ho District have lured a large number of visitors over the past few days.

Families, couples, and individuals have thronged the gardens to snap photos of the petit blossoming daisies.

As winter is just around the corner in the northern region of Vietnam with temperatures in Hanoi slowly inching downward, white daisies have made their annual reappearance, creating the perfect backdrop for a new collection of photographs.

There are several different daisy gardens in Yen Phu with some familiar names including Nhat Tan, Bach Hop, Phuong Linh, and Hiep Vu.

A new garden at the end of the Alley 264 on Au Co Street in Yen Phu has recently emerged as a new haunt.

“The gardens are beautiful, spacious, and airy,” Dam Ngan, a Hanoi local who said she was visiting the daisy-growing neighborhood for the first time on Sunday, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper.

“But I will return to this area on a weekday for better photos as it’s too crowded on weekends,” Ngan said.

Yen Phu has been famous for its daisies and as a photo spot for a decade.

In its earlier days, the area was covered in reeds and weeds and the white daisy flowers were planted mainly for sale in the capital and neighboring provinces.

Today, the neighborhood has become popular among couples looking for a stunning backdrop for their wedding photos and families who want to enjoy their weekends amid the green, floral scenery.
