Sống Lab, the first digital art space in Vietnam, opened to the public on Friday in Hue City, Thua Thien Hue Province, central Vietnam.
Covering an area of over 1,000 square meters, Sống Lab comprises five exhibition rooms worth around VND50 billion (US$2 million) in investment, with each room equipped with a modern system of laser lights, screens, speakers to serve different exhibition and display purposes.
This digital art space was designed to resemble a digital museum, according to its founder Duong Do.

Sống Lab is showcasing five digital art pieces, namely Đâm chồi nảy lộc (Blossoming), Hồng Sắc Long (Crimson dragon), Mọi miền tiềm thức (All subconscious regions), Một trăm (One hundred), and Như một dòng chảy (Like a streamflow), which are presented in the 3D mapping technology.

To appreciate these art pieces, visitors will be guided to a room full of hues and vibrant soundscapes. They can touch the screens, walls or just need to take a seat to admire the art works.

The Sống Lab founder said that digital art spaces are popular in many parts of the world.
Many class-A cities in Japan, South Korea, Singapore and others feature modern digital art museums that have attracted a large number of tourists.
Sống Lab is expected to serve as a creative arts center as well as an amazing new destination for those who seek to experience a brand-new art space while in Hue, Duong elaborated.
