Twenty-eight finalists for Miss Universe Australia 2024 are visiting Quang Nam Province in central Vietnam, where they have explored Hoi An Ancient Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, stopped over at a center for hearing-impaired children, and learned pottery making at a local craft village.

These beauties, along with Moraya Wilson, who was crowned Miss Universe Australia 2023, recently arrived in Quang Nam, as part of a series of activities and contests they will participate in before entering the final round of Miss Universe Australia 2024, scheduled for November.

The trip aims to educate the participants about the culture and history of Hoi An Ancient Town while allowing them to enjoy various other experiences in Quang Nam, according to the VTC News.

Upon arrival, they came to Hoiana Resort & Golf, a premier beachfront integrated resort in Duy Xuyen District, where they are scheduled to stay for seven days.

On Saturday, the beauties arrived in the ancient town, where they strolled around many streets, drawing special attention from local residents.

They then visited ancient houses, toured other attractions, and interacted with peddlers, enjoying the fresh fruits they offered.

Particularly, they called at Thanh Ha Pottery Village in Hoi An City, where they learned pottery-making under the guidance of local artisans.

The beauties also visited a center for deaf and hard-of-hearing children, which operates under Hearing & Beyond in Vietnam, a non-government, not-for-profit organization that assists hearing-impaired children in the city.

During the visit, the group decided to launch an eight-day campaign to raise AU$10,000 (US$6,600) for the center from Australian people through the Instagram accounts of the finalists and the charity ToyBox Australia, VTC News reported.

Van Ba Son, deputy director of the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, commented that the visit by the Miss Universe Australia 2024 finalists to Quang Nam, and Hoi An Ancient Town in particular, will help promote the world heritage site's image to international travelers.

He noted that Australia is currently among the top 10 countries with the highest number of travelers to Quang Nam.
