Ho Chi Minh City rolls out new double-decker tourist service for Cho Lon

Authorities in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday launched a new open-top double-decker route exploring the Cho Lon area.
The DL03 route takes passengers on a 20-kilometer journey from Saigon Bus Station, through 25 streets in District 1, District 5, and District 6, to the Cho Lon area and back, with each trip lasting an hour.
Stretching across District 5 and District 6, reaching south into District 8 and north into District 10 and District 11, Cho Lon is home to a lively Chinese-Vietnamese community.
Along the route, passengers can hop off at 15 designated spots, including Nghia An Assembly Hall - Ong Pagoda, Tue Thanh Assembly Hall - Ba Thien Hau Pagoda, Minh Huong Gia Thanh Communal House, Quynh Phu Assembly Hall - Ba Hai Nam Pagoda, Ong Bon Pagoda, Cha Tam Church, Cho Quan Parish Church, Cho Lon Mosque, old houses on Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street, and many others.

The bus route operates from 8:00 am to 10:30 pm with 30 trips daily running at 30-minute intervals.
Ho Chi Minh City piloted two older open-top tourist bus routes -- the DL01 in 2020 and the DL02 in 2022.
The two routes, whose ticket prices range from VND100,000 (US$4) to VND500,000 ($19.6) per person, served about 317,000 tourists by the end of this year’s first quarter.
