Da Nang to treat locals, visitors to captivating summer festival

Enjoy Da Nang 2024, an annual summer festival in Da Nang, central Vietnam, is set to take place from July 17 to 21, featuring 14 cultural, art, sports, and cuisine activities along some beaches and the Han River.
Residents and visitors can immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere and explore an interesting coastal city in the summer.
The Da Nang Department of Tourism announced a plan to kick off Enjoy Da Nang 2024 and Da Nang Int'l Fireworks Festival 2024 on Monday afternoon.
These festivals are meant to introduce a slew of new tourism products and services to entertain locals and tourists.
Enjoy Da Nang 2024 will be rolled out at East Sea Park on July 17, with the participation of many famed artists.
The opening event is expected to attract over 20,000 guests.
As part of the fest, a cuisine festival featuring Vietnamese and international dishes, art performances, and a barefoot running race will be hosted at the park on Vo Nguyen Giap Street in Son Tra District.
Besides, lots of entertainment and sports events on the beaches in Lien Chieu and Thanh Khe Districts are poised to give customers thrilling experiences.
Tan Van Vuong, deputy director of the municipal Department of Tourism, said that this year’s festival will offer a variety of river- and sea-based programs, with a 15-boat parade on the Han River being one of the highlights.
Jet ski and flyboard performances, as well as circus and magic shows, will spark excitement for fest-goers.
Da Nang City will host the first-ever jet ski and flyboard show on June 10. The event will gather together local and international athletes to perform on the Han River.

Meanwhile, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, with the participation of seven international teams and one team from Vietnam, will light up the sky over the central city in June and July.
The fest is scheduled to kick off on June 8.
Furthermore, the Vietnam - Japan and Vietnam - South Korean festivals will take place in Da Nang City in July and August.
