Vietnam ranks third among 20 countries and territories with the most beautiful women in Asia, as Vietnamese women are recognized for their attractive appearance, skin, and demeanor, according to Insider Monkey.
Insider Monkey has recently released a list of 20 Asian countries and territories with the most beautiful women, regardless of whether their beauty is natural or thanks to cosmetic surgery.
Vietnam is well known for its pretty women, “who are often admired for their delicate features, smooth skin, and graceful demeanor,” commented the website, which gave 0.9 points to the Southeast Asian country.
In recent years, the demand for cosmetic procedures has surged among Vietnamese women, according to Insider Monkey.
Vietnam is now among the cheapest countries for plastic surgery, with a nose job costing around US$1,000 and breast augmentation priced at $2,000, the website cited some industry reports.
Topping the list is South Korea with one point given by Insider Monkey.
Plastic surgery is very common in this East Asian country, which is often referred to as the ‘beauty capital of the world,’ with a report showing that one in every five women there gets plastic surgery done, according to the website.
With young women in South Korea spending an average of $700 per month on skincare products and treatments, the country’s cosmetics industry is expected to earn $1.76 billion in revenue by 2024.
The second position in the list goes to Japan with 0.95 points.
Ranking after Vietnam from the fourth to tenth positions in order are the Philippines, Iran, Malaysia, India, China, Singapore, and Thailand.
The next ten places are held by Indonesia, Hong Kong, Macau, Bhutan, Taiwan, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Myanmar, and Laos, respectively.
To compile the list, Insider Monkey ranked the countries and territories with the most beautiful women in Asia on the basis of a consensus-driven approach through multiple sources.
The website noted that the global beauty industry is pivotal to women's beauty, with the Asia-Pacific facial care market predicted to reach $88.4 billion by 2031, registering a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.9 percent from 2021.
The global facial skincare market is projected to surge to $169.57 billion by 2033 from $96.13 billion in 2023, posting a CAGR of 5.84 percent, Insider Monkey cited Precedence Research, a Canada-based market research provider.
