Vietnam wins big at 2024 World Travel Awards

Vietnam wins big at 2024 World Travel Awards

Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and other localities won multiple awards for various categories at the Asia & Oceania Gala Ceremony of the World Travel Awards 2024 held in the Philippines’ Manila on Tuesday evening.

Many destinations, hotels, resorts, and travel units in Vietnam were named among winners at the awards ceremony.

Notably, Vietnam was announced as ‘Asia’s Leading Destination 2024,’ ‘Asia’s Leading Heritage Destination 2024,’ and ‘Asia’s Leading Nature Destination 2024.'

Ho Chi Minh City was accredited as ‘Asia’s Leading Business Travel Destination 2024’ and ‘Asia’s Leading Festival & Event Destination 2024.’

Besides, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism was named ‘Asia’s Leading City Tourist Board 2024.’

Also, Hanoi claimed the ‘Asia’s Leading City Destination 2024’ and ‘Asia’s Leading City Break Destination’ titles at the event. 

Hoi An City in the central province of Quang Nam was honored as ‘Asia’s Leading Cultural City Destination 2024,’ while Ha Giang Province and Moc Chau Town in northern Son La Province were selected as ‘Asia’s Leading Regional Cultural Destination 2024’ and ‘Asia’s Leading Regional Nature Destination 2024,’ respectively.

Cuc Phuong National Park was honored as 'Asia’s Leading National Park 2024,' alongside several other prestigious awards for Vietnamese destinations and services at the World Travel Awards.

Tam Chuc Complex received the title of 'Asia’s Leading Cultural Tourist Attraction 2024,' Van Don International Airport was named 'Asia’s Leading Regional Airport 2024,' and Naman Retreat took the accolade of 'Asia’s Leading Retreat 2024.'

Sun World Ba Na Hills was recognized as 'Asia’s Leading Theme Park 2024,' while Vietravel was awarded 'Asia’s Leading Tour Operator 2024.'

A selection of Vietnam's luxury hotels and resorts, including Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, InterContinental, Capella Hanoi, Hotel des Arts Saigon, and JW Marriott, were also celebrated as winners.

The World Travel Awards, established in 1993, are the world's most prestigious honors in the tourism sector, annually recognizing excellence across all areas of the industry.
