Hanoi-based Noi Bai International Airport dropped four spots on this year’s Skytrax list of the world’s 100 best airports.

Skytrax is a UK-based consultancy specializing in airport and airline reviews and ratings.

Noi Bai was ranked #86 this year, falling four places from 2018. This is the fourth consecutive year Noi Bai has made the list.

Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport, which has never made the list, once again failed to make a showing.

The world's Top 100 Airports for 2019 were voted on by air travelers from around the world in the 2018/2019 World Airport Survey, which assessed over 500 airports around the globe.

According to the latest list, Asia’s airports apparently lead the world when it comes to passenger satisfaction, scooping up many of the top prizes in the survey.

Maintaining its position at the top of that chart for the seventh year in a row is Singapore’s Changi Airport.

No airport has even come near Changi Airport’s success since the survey’s inauguration.

Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) took second place while last year’s second-place holder, South Korea’s Incheon International Airport, dropped to No. 3.

The awards ceremony of World’s Top 100 Airports took place at the Passenger Terminal Expo in London on Wednesday.
