Bamboo Airways and Pacific Airlines began their ground handling partnership after flight QH202 operated on the Ho Chi Minh City-Hanoi route on Monday became the first Bamboo flight to use ground services provided by Pacific Airlines.
Bamboo Airways general director Luong Hoai Nam and Pacific Airlines acting general director Nguyen Anh Dung were present at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City at 5:00 am on Monday to check on the operations of the flight, which carried hundreds of passengers.
Pacific Airlines has replaced Saigon Ground Services JSC (SAGS) as the new provider of ground services for Bamboo.
Pacific Airlines is one of the few Vietnamese carriers that are allowed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to concurrently operate flights and offer ground handling services.
It operates three ground handling centers at three major Vietnamese international airports, including Noi Bai in Hanoi, Da Nang in the namesake city, and Tan Son Nhat.

Nam explained that the partnership between Bamboo and Pacific was an inevitable development, given the shared similarities between both carriers in the process of restructuring their fleets.
He told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper that the partnership is likely to endure for an extended period.
Meanwhile, Dung emphasized that the collaboration was anticipated to optimize resources on both sides and provide Pacific with an opportunity to showcase its proficiency in delivering ground handling services.
The five-year business partnership between Bamboo Airways and SAGS was scheduled to come to an end on Monday, due to issues possibly linked to overdue debts.
SAGS, a subsidiary of the Airports Corporation of Vietnam, began providing all ground services to Bamboo at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang International Airport in Da Nang City, and Cam Ranh International Airport in south-central Khanh Hoa Province when Bamboo launched its maiden commercial flight in January 2019.
