A tourism complex in Da Nang City, central Vietnam is taking bold steps by investing in a US$15,000 robot to assist guests, potentially becoming one of the first in the country to implement this advanced technology.

Andre Pierre, general director of the Furama - Ariyana Danang International Tourism Complex, announced the investment during the press briefing for the Exhibition & Forum on Technology and Innovation in the Hospitality Industry, named 'HORECFEX Vietnam 2024,' on Tuesday afternoon.

Pierre revealed that the $15,000 robot, purchased abroad, is currently en route to Da Nang.

This robot, the first of its kind in the city, is set to showcase its capabilities in serving and interacting with guests at the Furama resort in the coming days.

Pierre noted that this purchase matches the goals of HORECFEX Vietnam 2024, set to take place at Ariyana Convention Center in Da Nang from September 23 to 24.
