The Department of Industry and Trade of Tien Giang Province in southern Vietnam, in collaboration with Fado iExport Joint Stock Company, held a launch ceremony on Thursday afternoon for the first shipment of fresh Tien Giang coconuts destined for China.
The ceremony took place at Hung Thinh Phat Cooperative in Cho Gao District.
Pham Van Trong, vice-chairman of the provincial administration, called the event a significant milestone for both the local agricultural sector and the international recognition of Vietnamese agricultural products.
According to Trong, the official export of fresh Tien Giang coconuts to China is the result of long-term negotiations between specialized agencies in Vietnam and China, as well as the persistent efforts of coconut farmers and exporters in the province.
