Vietnam's 50 minibuses will make their debut in Ho Chi Minh City to serve commuting and travel demands soon after a batch was handed over to a firm in the city this week.
Kim Long Motor Hue Joint Stock Company, headquartered in Thua Thien-Hue Province, central Vietnam, on Monday delivered 50 Kim Long X9 minibuses to Binh Minh Investment Group JSC, located in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City.
This marked the first batch to be handed over out of the contractual package of 500 minibuses signed between the two firms.
The vehicle line was launched in the Vietnamese market in October.
The 16-seater minibuses are priced at over VND700 million (US$27,625) each.
These buses will be used to serve students, workers, and tourists in the southern metropolis.
Vo Quoc Binh, chairman of Binh Minh Investment Group JSC, said that the firm highly valued the quality and efficiency of the Kim Long X9 minibus model.

Ly Quoc Viet, deputy head of Kim Long Motor Hue, was committed to supplying Binh Minh with after-sales service like warranty and maintenance.
Viet unveiled that Kim Long Motor Hue was planning to develop a system of showrooms and service centers across the country in line with standards for a Vietnamese vehicle brand.
The Kim Long X9 minibus has an engine with a capacity of 2,982 cubic centimeters and a maximum torque of 350 Nm, meeting Euro 5 emission standards.
