The Asian Food Channel (AFC), Asia's first 24-hour cable and satellite channel dedicated to cuisine programming from around the region and worldwide, will be broadcast on Vietnam’s HTVC cable network from Dec 10.
According to Le Thi Phuong Thao, director of Thao Le Co., AFC’s representative in Vietnam, at the Dec 10 ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City, the channel will feature culinary delights and lifestyles in Asian countries and the world over.
Thao’s company is also planning to promote Vietnamese cuisine and culture to the world via the channel.
Founded in 2005, AFC is currently broadcast by 22 television companies in 13 Asian countries. Its highlights include “E&O search for AFC’ next celebrity chef”, “Back to the street”, “Great dinners of the world”, “Best Wan!”, “36 ways to live” and “True passion: Martin Yan”.
