French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (CCIFV) will organize Le Bon Marché, the biggest French-styled gourmet event of the year held to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, on Saturday afternoon at 23/9 Park in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1.
The two-day free-admission event, dedicated to highlight the economic and cultural ties between the two countries, will be hosted at two main sections at the park.
While ‘The market’ is the place for many stalls exhibiting and selling imported or locally produced French and Vietnamese high quality products, informative workshops, exhibitions and games for visitors, ‘The food area’ is set aside for restaurateurs from Saigon to sell French or Vietnamese freshly made dishes and drinks.
The highlight of the festival will be the two live concerts, co-organized each night with Dynamic Life and District Music 360, to promote French and Vietnamese music.
Vietnamese upcoming and famous artists, including Ho Ngoc Ha, Pham Anh Khoa, Phuong Vy, Trang Phap, Vmusic, and Suboi, will perform live and for free on Saturday and Sunday from 8 to 10pm.
All along the festival, people will also enjoy a rich program of entertainments such as dance shows, live art performances but also the regional selection for the southern region of Vietnam of the Louis Lesaffre Cup, discovering the best bakers who might join the bakery world cup in France.
The inauguration of ‘Le bon marché’, sponsored by Bel/The laughing cow, Big C, Invivo and Saf-Viet, will take place on Saturday 14th at 4.30 pm, in the presence of the French and Vietnamese authorities., The concerts are sponsored by Moxdeal.vn and Go Pro.
