A Ho Chi Minh City guidebook will be available on Amazon.com starting next month.
“Saigon Zoom In” is the first installment of the 11-part series “Vietnam Visual Travel Guide,” a travel guide showcasing scenic destinations and cultural experiences in Vietnam’s major cities and provinces.
Designed as a bookazine - a publication that combines elements of books and magazines - the book will be reprinted with modifications.
The book, designed by veteran artist Nguyen Tri Phuong Dong, isn’t only bountiful in information regarding where to go and what to do in HCMC, but also features vivid paintings, art, maps, diagrams and icons.
The book is written in both Vietnamese and English and published in print and online versions.
According to representatives of publisher Dai Viet Hoan Cau Co., the books in the series will be written in different languages to cater to the specific tourists who frequent different areas of Vietnam. For example, the Nha Trang section will be written in Russian while the Hoi An portion will be in Japanese.
The company has signed a contract with amazon.com to sell the book for US$10 a piece starting next month.
