An exhibit running in Ho Chi Minh City until October 15 features antique jars and pots from Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries.
The antiques, which come from private collections, are being displayed at 6 Ton Duc Thang Street, District 1.
The valuables belong to various time spans, ranging from the country’s iconic Dong Son and Sa Huynh cultures, which date back to around the 5th century BC, to dynasties in feudal times.
Also on display are items from Khmer, Cham, Thai and Laotian cultures, which were crafted from the 13th to 17th centuries.
The pieces are indicative of contemporary artisans’ high craftsmanship and their shaping, coloring, and glazing techniques.
