Indian rock band performs for free in Hanoi tonight

Famed Indian rock band Girish and the Chronicles will give a free concert in Hanoi tonight, October 20, according to the Indian Embassy in Vietnam.

The concert will take place at the Vietnam Exhibition Center for Culture and Arts, at 2 Hoa Lu, at 8pm.

Most known for their fiery performances of hard rock and heavy metal, the Indian band will perform pieces from their recently released album “Back on Earth,” as well as famous songs by noted bands and singers such as   Aerosmith, BonJovi, Led Zeppelin and Guns N Roses.

Formed in 2009 and presently based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, Girish and The Chronicles, which consists of four members, are well-known for their electrifying live shows.

The band has been touring the world for more than five years.

Popular for their peculiar Classic Hard Rock/Heavy Metal sound influenced from bands of the 1970s and 1980s, Girish and The Chronicles has released numerous singles online since 2009.
