Vietnam tourism administration launches YouTube channel

Monday, January 12, 2015, 18:41 GMT+7

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) introduced on Saturday its YouTube channel to better promote the country’s tourism industry.

The administration’s channel, which can be accessed at https://www.youtube.com/c/vietnamtourismmedia, will allow local and international viewers to watch free news footage and video clips on Vietnamese tourism.

Viewers’ feedback and suggestions about tourist attractions and packages are also welcome.

Vietnam earned VND230 trillion (US$10.72 billion) from tourism last year, up 15 percent compared to 2013.

The increase was the highest ever, according to the VNAT.

The Vietnamese tourism sector welcomed over 7.8 million international visits in 2014, a 5.64 percent year-on-year increase.
