Politics:

- At the National Assembly on November 20, Ministry of Home Affairs Nguyen Thai Binh, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Bac Son and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung gave answers to deputies’ queries on a wide range of topics, focusing on corruption, Internet security, 3G charge increase, 4G implementing process, and hydro projects.

Society:

- The project to improve the HCMC backpacker area title “Smiling Stop” of a group of student has recently won the 2013 Talent contest. According to its creators, the project aim to turn the area into an interesting stop for international visitors. “Smiling stop” focuses on building a elevated walkway connecting Do Quang Dau street and Bui Vien streets.

- On November 21, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology announced the super-small satellite named Pico-Dragon launched at 19:17pm on November 19 successfully connected to the land after 4 hours it was put into the space. 

- On November 18, many children were taken to the HCMC Children's Hospital for respiratory check. According to Doctor Tran Anh Tuan, head of the hospital’s respiratory department, in December, southern provinces will see an increase of patients with respiratory problems, especially respiratory infection and respiratory allergy. Doctor Tuan also recommended parents to keep their children warm since the weather is getting cold at the end of the year.

Business:

- The America’s The National Fisheries Institute has recently announced the list of 10 seafoods which have been consumed most in the US market in 2012. Vietnamese tra fish ranks 6th in the list, the same position compared with last year.

- The international exhibition Vietnam Telecomp 2013 on November 20 opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention in District 7. The event features telecommunications and information technology products gathers more than 200 enterprises, half of them are foreign enterprises. It will run until November 23.

Lifestyle:

- An exhibition titled “Bien dao To quoc” (The country’s maritime and islands) has recently opened at the exhibition house at 45 Trang Tien Street in Hanoi. The event features nearly 200 photos taken by Vietnamese photo correspondents will run until November 26.

- More than 5000 attendees including 150 foreigners arrived in Ninh Binh for the international seminar titled “Du lich tam linh cho su phat trien ben vung” (Spiritual tourism for sustainable development) held on November 21 and 22. The event aims to promote the image of a friendly Vietnam country with freedom of religion.
