A husband, wife and their two young children were found dead hanging at their house in Vietnam on Saturday, with a death note mentioning pressure and neighbors’ perception of them as the causes of the incident.
A man paid a visit to the home of his blood daughter, Nguyen Thi Huyen Thanh, in Ha Tinh Province on early Saturday but the main door was shut, locals said.
He pushed it open only to discover that the daughter, her husband and their children, a 6-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl, were hanged in the bedroom, the residents said.

Investigators found a death note purportedly written by the deceased 24-year-old woman.
It said the couple decided to commit suicide and have the children share the same fate because they could not handle a debt-related dead end and withstand pressure from neighbors, according to police.
Stress faced them after the husband was detained four days earlier for stealing cellphones in another province, the note said.
After he was freed, negative rumor and opinions from neighbors surrounded him.
The family depended on the husband as the breadwinner, the letter added at its end.
The husband and wife were known to have no stable jobs.

Nguyen Tang Tuan, deputy head of the village where the family resided, said they were in debt and lived in a partially completed house that was built after the previous one was destroyed by a storm last year.
A mentally deranged woman lived with them in the same house, Tuan said, adding that the government was calling for financial support from locals to pay funeral costs.
