-- A Vietnamese delegation led by Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung had working trips to the UK and India from February 23 to March 1 to boost cooperation in economy, trade, and investment.

-- Can Tho International Airport on Sunday received three flights with 618 passengers, including 85 from the COVID-19 epidemic areas of Daegu and North Gyeongsang in South Korea. The flights were re-directed to Can Tho instead of Tan San Nhat International Airport to share the pressure with the Ho Chi Minh City-based airport when the number of tourists from South Korea to Vietnam has spiked.
-- In the first two months of this year, the Dong Trieu bus company in the south-central province of Binh Dinh offered many free rides to cancer patients from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Dinh. The owner of the bus company says what he did derives from his understanding of the burden those patients have to carry, judged by his family’s experience.
-- A medical equipment supplier on Sunday donated many medical items to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, including 30,000 face masks, 1,000 medical protective suits, and five machines for monitoring patients to help the city combat with COVID-19.
-- The Vasco da Gama cruise ship carrying nearly 700 tourists from the UK, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Germany, and Sweden aboard on Sunday arrived at a port in Phu My Town, located in the southern province of Ba Ria - Vung Tau. All passengers had their body temperature measured and were asked to wash their hands before carrying out immigration procedures.

-- Despite being affected by COVID-19, China is still the largest export market of Ho Chi Minh City enterprises, with export turnover reaching US$1.2 billion in the first two months of this year, a 22.5-percent increase year on year, according to the Statistics Office of Ho Chi Minh City.
-- Ho Chi Minh City licensed 4,103 businesses with a total registered capital of VND52,512 billion ($2.2 million) from January 1 to February 15. The number of licenses rose by 0.3 percent compared to the same period last year, but the capital went down sharply by 42.1 percent.

-- Famous Vietnamese painter Tran Luu Hau passed away on the evening of February 29 at his home in Hanoi, aged 92 years old.
