— Vietnam logged no new case of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Monday morning, with the national tally remaining at 420 infections. The National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control reported that the health of the 416th and 418th patients, two of the latest local transmission cases in the country, has turned worse.

— Nguyen Van Hai, director of Quang Nam Province’s Department of Health, on Sunday evening said that 25 people who are being quarantined in Hoi An City for being in close contact with the 416th and 418th COVID-19 cases in the central city of Da Nang had all tested negative for the coronavirus.

— A Chinese national has been arrested in Da Nang for helping people enter Vietnam illegally, said Major General Vu Xuan Vien, director of the Da Nang Department of Police.

— The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) will soon grant permission for airlines to maximize the number of domestic flights from and to Da Nang to quickly bring tourists back to their hometown amid new developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, head of the CAAV Dinh Viet Thang has said.

Business

— Grab Vietnam announced on Sunday evening that the ride-haling company will suspend GrabRent and inter-provincial services in Da Nang from Monday over COVID-19 concerns.

— The Ministry of Industry and Trade has applied anti-dumping measures on some products with biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film originating in China, Thailand, and Malaysia.

Lifestyle

— Hundreds of photos highlighting the landscape and locals' daily life in Sierra Nevada, a famous tourist destination in the north of Colombia, are being displayed at a photo exhibition themed ‘A Window into Colombia: The Black Line’ in Hanoi, the Vietnam News Agency reported.

Education

— The Da Nang Department of Education and Training on Sunday decided to close preschools, language centers, and life skill classes from 1:00 pm on the same day, with students being asked to stay home until further notice.

Sports

— The Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) on Sunday officially announced the suspension of the country's tournaments V-League 1 from July 29 and V-League 2 from July 30 owing to renewed risks of COVID-19.
