Woman’s body found without head, arm in Saigon River

Police in Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City are working with relevant specialized units and colleagues in the district’s Truong Tho Ward to investigate the case of a dismembered body found in the Saigon River.

Local residents spotted the body at around 1:00 pm on Wednesday.

Subsequently, Nguyen Van Chuc, a 63-year-old currently living in Binh Thanh District who specializes in body collection, was asked to retrieve the corpse and return it to the riverbank in Thu Duc’s Truong Tho Ward.

According to a preliminary investigation, the woman’s body was found with a bra and long yellow pants. 

It was missing an arm and half of its head.

No identity documents were found with the body.

The incident was reported to authorities in Thu Duc District who are continuing to investigate the case.
