A confrontation arose between a group of people and security guards in front of a mall in Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday night, forcing officers to fire warning shots to stop the violence.

The incident occurred at the entrance of AEON MALL Tan Phu Celadon in Son Ky Ward, Tan Phu District at around 9:30 pm, according to a source close to Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper.

A large group of men and women first had an escalated argument with multiple security guards employed by the mall, causing a fight.

Many people were seen wielding batons and other objects during the brawl.

The violence lasted for minutes before undercover police officers arrived at the location and fired several warning shots to control the situation and arrested many suspects.
