Saigon Water Corporation (Sawaco), Ho Chi Minh City’s water supplier, will cut or reduce its service in four districts in the southern metropolis and several wards in Thu Duc City between Saturday evening and Sunday morning for system maintenance.

The pipe repair will take place on the section of Sawaco’s supply network lying about 200 meters from Nguyen Van Ba Street in Truong Tho Ward in Thu Duc City from 8:00 pm Saturday to 10:00 am Sunday.

During those 14 hours, the wards of 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17 in Go Vap District, the wards of 11, 12, 13, 28 in Binh Thanh District and the wards of Binh Tho, Truong Tho, Linh Chieu in Thu Duc City will be subject to the water supply cut.

Meanwhile, District 12, the wards of 8, 9, 12, 13, 14 in Go Vap District and the wards of Hiep Binh Chanh, Hiep Binh Phuoc, Linh Dong, Linh Tay, Tam Binh, Tam Phu, Binh Chieu, Linh Trung, Linh Xuan in Thu Duc City and Ward 2 in Tan Binh District will experience low-pressure water.

The areas situated further away from the supply location will have their water resumed to normal later than 10:00 am Sunday due to hydraulic disturbance.

Sawaco said it has plans to monitor the entire network to prevent regular water supply halt in the southern city.
