-- A tractor trailer crashed into a motorbike on My Phuoc-Tan Van Street in southern Binh Duong Province on Sunday afternoon, killing one man, one woman, and two children on the spot.

-- Police announced on Sunday they had initiated legal proceedings against 35 people involved in a fatal shooting on Phu Quoc Island off Kien Giang Province in southern Vietnam.

-- Rescuers found the body of a drowned boy after he and two peers sank on a canal along Tran Hai Phung Street in Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday morning. The two peers were fortunately saved by local residents.

-- Nearly 5,000 military officials participated in a large-scale drill against terrorism, riots, demonstrations in Thu Duc City under Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday.

-- Storm Nalgae, which was located 590 kilometers east of Vietnam’s Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago by 4:00 am on Monday, is likely to move north and gradually strengthen in the next 24 hours before weakening due to interaction with a cold front, according to the National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting.

-- The 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show, which will take place from November 17 to 27, will feature displays from Vietnamese car maker VinFast, alongside other global brands, according to the organizer’s announcement.

-- “At least 81 people were killed in the western Indian state of Gujarat on Sunday when a footbridge packed with sightseers enjoying holiday festivities collapsed and plunged them into the river below,” Reuters reported.

-- A stampede left seven spectators and one police officer dead during a packed concert by African music star Fally Ipupa at the biggest stadium in DR Congo’s capital, AFP quoted the police chief as he was telling official press agency ACP on Sunday.
