Giorgio Aliberti, European Union Ambassador to Vietnam, welcomed visitors to the exhibition’s European Pavilion by hosting a special ceremony.
“The European Union (EU) Pavilion’s official opening ceremony is your chance to get to know the true diversity of EU agri-food products from 27 member states,” he said.
“Thanks to the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), which came into force on August 1, 2020, we see many more products from the EU coming here. 169 products from the EU are here in Vietnam and 39 products from Vietnam are allowed in the EU market.

“This exhibition is mutually beneficial. It is good for European exporters and Vietnamese consumers and producers because it offers more product choices."
The European Union Pavilion at the exhibition offers tasting sessions each day featuring meats, dairy products, olive oil, fruits and vegetables, confections, chocolate, wine, beer, and spirits.
At the ribbon cutting ceremony for the U.S. Pavilion, U.S. Consul General Susan Burns remarked that the Food and Hotel Vietnam Exhibition continues to be a great opportunity for U.S. and Vietnamese companies to develop stronger ties that can foster closer business partnerships.
