At least four people were killed and five others injured following a pile-up involving a car and several motorbikes in Dien Bien Province, northern Vietnam on Monday night.
The crash occurred on the section of National Highway No. 279 in Ang To Commune, Muong Ang District at around 10:30 pm, a representative from the provincial traffic safety committee told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper.
A car carrying four people first collided with a motorbike carrying two young men.
The automobile then tipped over and crushed two other motorbikes carrying three people in total.

Three out of the five motorcyclists, namely Lo Van N., 17, Quang Van H., 15, and Lo Van T., 15, were killed on the spot, while the remaining two were hospitalized with serious wounds.
The four people in the car suffered mild injuries.
At 8:20 am on Tuesday, the fourth motorcyclist succumbed to his severe injuries.
Local authorities are examining the crash site to facilitate their investigation.
Officials visited the victims and their families and provided necessary support.
