Police in Tien Giang Province, southern Vietnam are investigating a deadly shooting that killed a 45-year-old man and left his 25-year-old nephew in custody on Sunday.
Huynh Van Nam, 25, and his mother’s brother, Huynh Van Hien, 45, came into conflict with each other over their shared path in Cai Lay District at around 8:00 am on the day.
Hien then failed to control his anger and took a gun and a knife from his home to attack Nam.

Hien’s first shot missed Nam, then the two brawled on the ground.
Two more shots were fired off during the fight, leaving Hien injured in the left thigh.
The man lost too much blood and died at the scene.
Following a report on the incident, police in Cai Lay checked the site and seized Hien’s gun and knife, as well as detained Nam for investigation.
