One Chinese sailor died and two others lost consciousness on Sunday due to suspected gas asphyxiation in Thanh Hoa Province, north-central Vietnam.

The three sailors were unconscious while their Panamanian-flagged ship VIGOR SW was docking at the Nghi Son International Port in Nghi Son Town, Thanh Hoa, the provincial Border Guard Command said on Tuesday morning.

The trio are Zhuang Lijn, 54, Li Wen Liang, 33, and Kong Deshan, 23.
