An official working for the Thua Thien-Hue chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has been required to officially explain a video capturing him topless and acting violently at a tourist site in Hue City of the central province.

A representative of the chapter said on Friday evening that T.B.T. has not submitted his report on the incident yet.

The video, which was filmed by an eyewitness and later shared on social media, showed that T. sat on the ground along the sidewalk in front of Toa Kham tourist boat station on Le Loi Street in Hue City, without wearing a top.

According to some sources, T. had been drunk while boarding a tourist boat on the Huong River.

Upon his arrival ashore, he vomitted, took off his shirt, and yelled at and used vulgar languages to people around.

Staff at the boat station then contacted T.’s family to pick him up.

The chapter’s representative said that T. must submit a report on what were recorded in the video soon and undergo a disciplinary measure.
