-- A woman and her 13-year-old daughter died when their motorbike crashed into a container truck in Thu Duc City, under Ho Chi Minh City on Monday. The accident happened when the woman was carrying her daughter to Ho Chi Minh City from southern An Giang Province for the summer holiday.
-- Two surveillance cameras at a public toilet in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City were stolen after the toilet has been put into operation for half a month.
-- Police in Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province, a neighbor of Ho Chi Minh City, is investigating a case in which a woman and a man died at a boarding house on Monday. The man was found dead by hanging.

-- Deposits of individual customers at banks in Vietnam have reached some VND6,300 trillion (US$270.9 billion) as of the end of March, the highest-ever, despite falling deposit rates.
