-- Former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs To Anh Dung and 53 others will stand trial on Tuesday for their alleged crimes in Vietnam’s arrangement of flights to repatriate Vietnamese citizens stranded overseas during the COVID-19 pandemic. Of the total, 21 former officials were accused of taking bribes worth VND165 billion (US$6.9 million).
-- Police in north-central Thanh Hoa Province on Monday said they had detained a man who is a doctorate holder working at a university in the province for allegedly stealing VND128 million ($5,357) and a computer from the school.
-- Four vehicles of a transport company and a transport cooperative whose legal representative is a man from Da Nang City, central Vietnam violated the speed limit more than 1,200 times in June alone, deputy director of the municipal Department of Transport Dang Nam Son informed on Monday.

-- The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee will hold the fourth municipal economic forum under the theme 'Green Growth - The Journey to Zero Emissions' from September 13 to 17, focusing on a green and circular economy.
-- Work started on the Gia Binh II industrial park project, which requires an estimated investment of nearly VND4 trillion ($167.4 million), in Bac Ninh Province, northern Vietnam on Sunday.
-- National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has announced that it will put three Airbus A321CEO aircraft manufactured in 2007 up for auction this quarter at the starting price of over VND118.7 billion ($5 million) each.
-- Greek-flagged Maran Gas Achilles transported nearly 70,000 metric tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the Thi Vai LNG Terminal in southern Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province on Monday. This is the first shipment of LNG imported to Vietnam.
