Head-on crash kills 2 siblings in Vietnam's Dong Nai

Two siblings were killed on the spot after a sleeper bus collided head-on with their motorcycle on Sunday in Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam.

The deceased were identified as Nguyen Kim Hoang and Nguyen Van Diep, both residing in the province’s Thong Nhat District.

The fatal accident occurred in the early hours of Sunday when the sleeper bus driven by Thanh Buoi Bus Line was en route from Da Lat to Ho Chi Minh City.

The bus overtook on the left on the section of National Highway 20 passing through Bau Ham 2 Commune in Thong Nhat and crashed directly into the motorbike traveling in the opposite direction.

The head-on crash caused both the siblings and their motorcycle to be thrown and they both died on the spot.

The left headlight of the sleeper bus was broken, while the motorbike was smashed with many parts scattered on the road.

A throng of passers-by and local residents gathered at the scene of the deadly accident, resulting in traffic gridlock in the area.

Local traffic police and relevant units were dispatched to the scene to regulate traffic flow.

Police are investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
