-- Doctors at the Children’s Hospital 2 in Ho Chi Minh City have saved the life of a five-year-old girl with critical hand-foot-mouth disease (HFMD) by using extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), making her the first HFMD case in the country to be treated by this technique, a hospital representative confirmed on Friday night.

-- Six former and incumbent officials of Thu Sy Commune, Tien Lu District, Hung Yen Province have been detained for allegedly abusing their power while on duty during the 2013-14 period, the provincial police department said on Friday.
