-- The Vietnam Meteorological and Hydrological Administration launched the country’s first-ever early warning system for thunderstorms, lightning, and flood in Hanoi on Tuesday.
-- Two Asian black bears, previously rescued from a residence in Hanoi, were relocated to their new habitat at the Vietnam Bear Sanctuary situated on Bach Ma Mountain in central Thua Thien-Hue Province on Tuesday.
-- The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has announced a plan to conduct a fire drill involving 2,400 participants at the Ben Thanh underground station of the metro line 1 in December.
-- The construction contractor failed to meet the deadline for restoring the road surface at the underground station S12 construction site of the Nhon - Hanoi Station metro line, which is the capital city’s second metro line, originally scheduled for Tuesday.
-- As of Tuesday afternoon, Ho Chi Minh City had reported 48 cases of gastrointestinal issues, with 19 people requiring hospitalization due to suspected food poisoning from cream puffs distributed at a Mid-Autumn Festival event on September 29. A six-year-old girl had previously died under similar circumstances after consuming a cake from the same event.
