Police verify report of youngsters riding motorcycles at 277kmph in northern Vietnam

Police in Hai Phong, northern Vietnam are in the process of verifying a report of a group of young people riding motorcycles at a speed of up to 277 kilometers per hour and doing a wheelie in Cat Hai District.

A leader of Hai Phong’s road and rail traffic police unit told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper on Wednesday afternoon that the unit was coordinating with police in Cat Hai District to investigate the incident, which occurred last Sunday.

Police in Hai Phong City, northern Vietnam are verifying a report of some young people riding motorcycles at a speed of up to 277 kilometers per hour and doing a wheelie.

In particular, youngsters divided themselves into smaller groups to speed through the center of Cat Ba Town under Cat Hai District.

They recorded videos of themselves racing through the town and doing a wheelie before uploading them to social media, attracting thousands of views and shares.
