-- Vietnam and Denmark announced the establishment of their green strategic partnership following the online talks between Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his Danish counterpart Mette Frederiksen on Wednesday evening.

-- Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and his entourage, including Dutch diplomatic officials and representatives of 23 hi-tech enterprises, arrived in Hanoi on Wednesday evening for a two-day visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

-- The U.S.-based international shipping company FedEx Express has further enhanced its intercontinental services between Vietnam and other markets in Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Europe with the introduction of a new flight offering faster transit. The new flight will fly four evenings a week.

-- Twenty-two people tested positive for drugs after police raided a karaoke parlor in southern Tien Giang Province on Tuesday night, the provincial police said on Wednesday.

-- Police in southern Dong Nai Province, where the big-ticket Long Thanh International Airport project is being developed, have arrested two officials in charge of compensation and resettlement for the airport project, as welll as a land broker, for allegedly receiving bribes from project-hit residents and promising to arrange resettlement land lots for them.

-- The administration in Thu Duc City under Ho Chi Minh City has proposed developing a sunflower field measuring 5,000-6,000 square meters on the Saigon River bank in Thu Duc, part of a plan to revitalize the area, which is currently polluted.

-- Police in a commune in Thanh Hoa Province, located in north-central Vietnam, said on Wednesday that they were investigating a case in which a local man allegedly physically abused his three-year-old daughter on Sunday evening, causing the girl to suffer a scapula fracture, police officers informed on Wednesday.

-- The People’s Committee of Hoan Kiem District in Hanoi has proposed not organizing running tournaments around the iconic Hoan Kiem Lake at night in order not to affect the life of residents in the neighborhood.

-- The Vietnamese women's football team’s dream went up in smoke after they lost 0-2 to Japan in a Group-C match in the 2024 Paris Olympics second qualifying round, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
