A 17-year-old girl in Nghe An Province, north-central Vietnam was accidentally electrocuted to death when her silver bracelet fell into an electrical outlet while she was charging her phone, local authorities said on Tuesday.

The family of L.T.A.T., 17, has carried out her burial procedures.

T.’s family members discovered the teenager lying motionless at their house in Nghe An’s Con Cuong District at around 9:00 pm on Monday.

They rushed her to a local hospital for emergency treatment but to no avail.

Inspecting the scene, authorities concluded that while charging her phone at around 8:00 pm on the same day, T.’s silver bracelet inadvertently came into contact with the electrical outlet, resulting in the electrocution and death.

At that time, T.’s younger sibling was at home with her, unaware that she had been electrocuted.
