The People's Procuracy of Ba Ria City under Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province in southern Vietnam on Tuesday confirmed that the agency had passed an urgent arrest warrant for a woman and a man who deliberately slammed their cars into each other.
These drivers were identified as Nguyen Dinh Ky, a 41-year-old from Thanh Hoa Province, located in north-central Vietnam, and Phan Hoang Bich Tien, 31, who resides in Dong Nai Province, a neighbor of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
Police in Ba Ria City summoned the two drivers to a police station on the same day, and then conducted an urgent arrest on them.
The two were apprehended for allegedly destroying assets and causing public disorder.
The intentional crash happened at Nguyen Huu Tho - Nguyen Van Linh Intersection in Ba Ria City on Monday night.
A VinFast auto hit the rear of a Lexus car at the intersection at 7:00 pm on the same day. After that, the driver of the Lexus car turned the vehicle around and banged into the front of the other twice.
The crashing damaged the two vehicles. The drivers quickly left the scene.
After verifying a video captured by a bystander showing the collision, police in the city identified the drivers and arrested them.
